To all of MSL‘s established and aspiring data wranglers, programmers, code whisperers and computer scientists…WE WANT YOU for our very first and super awesome MSL Bioinformatics User Group = MSL BUG!
We would like to:
- Share our research and technical expertise
- Inspire new approaches at problem-solving
- Discuss and brainstorm computational issues we face
- Learn how to use and adapt new tools
- Spark productive collaborations
Our first meeting will be on Thursday, March 26th in the MSL 337 from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m.

Everyone is welcome! Students, staff and faculty from all of MSL’s disciplines (e.g. dealing with sequencing/metabolomics/electrophysiology/population dynamics/behavioural/… data,script/software development, distributed computing, machine learning approaches, modelling, statistics etc.)

First meeting agenda: Round table with short individual introductions where we identify common interests and set up an outline for subsequent meetings – and did we mention the homemade cake and coffee already?
