Phil Hieter named Vice-President/President Elect of the Genetics Society of America

Phil Hieter (Univ of British Columbia, Canada) will become Vice-President of the Genetics Society of America in 2011, succeeding to President in 2012.  Judith Berman (Univ of Minnesota, Minneapolis), Bonnie Bartel (Rice Univ, Houston), and Jeannie T. Lee (Harvard Med Sch and Mass Gen Hosp) will serve as Directors from 2011-2013.  “It has been encouraging to see the high level of membership participation in this election.  I look forward to working with the new Board members and the general membership on GSA activities,” said GSA Executive Director Sherry Marts.
